Enhancement Works at Existing Buildings
If there will be works that improve the operational performance of your existing building, depending on the scope, scale and schedule of the works, you can consider pursuing a certification with either Comprehensive Scheme or Selective Scheme of BEAM Plus Existing Buildings V2.0.
The BEAM Plus Existing Buildings V2.0 Comprehensive Scheme enables buildings to assessed multiple aspects simultaneously. If the schedule of overall enhancement works is divided into phases, the Comprehensive Scheme certification provides you with flexibility that the assessment can be completed in phases.
If your improvement initiatives focus on particular areas, e.g. energy, water, waste, etc., you can consider pursuing the certification with the Selective Scheme of BEAM Plus Existing Buildings V2.0. The Selective Scheme enables buildings to be assessed on individual aspects that are material to the conditions of the building.
Gammon Technology Park
To cope with the corporate’s carbon reduction target, Gammon Technology Park carried out a number of energy improvement works, accompanied with enhancement in energy management policies. Apart from the replacement of more energy efficient chillers, the building has incorporated sensor technologies to better analyse energy use performance.
