Continue your building’s journey
of being green
Green features have been incorporated into the HK-BEAM or BEAM Plus certified New Buildings during design and construction phase. It laid out a foundation for the property management team to upkeep the sustainability performances of the buildings. The BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Comprehensive Scheme Certification enables buildings that have previously achieved green building certification in design and construction phase to demonstrate excellence in upholding sustainability in all-around operations and management of your building.
Hysan Place –
from New Buildings to Existing Buildings
As a Grade A office and retail building, Hysan Place has always strived to be a place that is both environmentally and socially sustainable. When the building completed its construction, the building was among the first recipients of Final Platinum certification under BEAM Plus New Buildings in 2013 and had included a series of green features like urban windows, sky garden and wetland, and green roof with an aim of improving the community’s climatic conditions, among other sustainability-related objectives.
Building upon these green features, Hysan Development and Hysan Place’s Property Management team introduced a series of sustainable operation practices. It includes maximising the use of natural lights, identifying and improving energy efficiency of building systems, investing in renewable energy, harvesting rainwater, as well as transforming the rooftop into an 8,000-square-foot organic urban farm which offers sustainable living and farming workshops for its tenants and communities.
The efforts made by Hysan and, more specifically, Hysan Place’s property management team have successfully transformed Hysan Place into a green existing building, achieving Final Platinum Rating under BEAM Plus Existing Buildings in 2018.
